This week we take a break from our regular sermon series as we take a moment to ponder on our call to be disciples. As we take a look at Moses, I wonder a few things: Where have our feet taken us this year? Where have we been asked to go...and more importantly, did we listen? As we celebrate the final Sabbath of 2022, what will your spiritual resolution for this year be?Will we Go...and tell everyone about the greatness of God to all the cities around us?The streets. The person next door? Take a look at the story of Moses this week; think to the time when Jesus asked him to "Go" for him.

"Do not be afraid." These words show up repeatedly in the Christmas story.
To Elizabeth and Zechariah: Do not be afraid of being disappointed again. To Mary: Do not be afraid of your part in the story of God’s redemption. To Joseph: Do not be afraid of other people’s judgment. To the Shepherds: Do not be afraid, you get to tell the story of salvation!
Join Pastor Tara VinCross as we remind ourselves of the good news of God that quiets our fears.

This Sabbath we experienced a collective journey through gratitude. We invite you to reflect on a moment where God has been faithful and a scripture that fills your heart with praise and gratitude. Our scripture focus together is found in Proverbs 18:20, "from the fruit of their mouths people's stomachs are filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied."

Saying Goodbye to Worry - Philippians, pt.10 - Pastor Tara VinCross

Every so often I get the opportunity to bowl. Earlier this year was one such opportunity, as our pastoral staff took some time to have fun together. I ended up people watching, looking to our left at the people bowling next to us. One person was very good. Another was not. I overheard the instruction that the one gave to the other. “You have to let go of the ball. You have to trust.” You have to trust.
This is life, isn’t it? It’s hard for us to trust. We worry and hold onto things. Paul speaks directly to this difficulty in this letter to the Philippians. He invites us to rejoice, pray, petition, and thank God, right in the middle of our own struggles!
